In 1983 a report about abused and neglected children caught the attention of President Ronald Reagan. Sadly, since that first Child Abuse Prevention Month, the number of abused victims has grown from half a million children to over 6 million new reports of abuse along with 1,600 child abuse related deaths annually. Over 200,000 children in Texas are reported as abused or neglected every year. One is too many.

Read moreThere was a large crowd at Palm Sunday Services at Evergreen Baptist Church March 24. There were around 130 people present for worship service and communion. After service children hunted Easter Eggs and a covered dish meal was served. All had a wonderful time.
