ANDERSON – Anderson-Shiro CISD Board of Trustees called a $44.5 million bond package, which will be known as Proposition A on the May 6 election ballot.

RICHARDS – A public meeting will be held Feb. 25, at 2 p.m. to discuss the incorporation of Richards.
The meeting will be held in the Richards ISD cafeteria, 9477 Panther Drive in Richards. During the meeting a speaker will be available to answer questions and share what to expect with incorporating. All members of the Richards community and surrounding areas are invited to attend and participate in the discussion.

Seniors graduating from a Grimes County high school with plans to attend college and obtain a degree in a law-enforcement-related field or enrolling in a law enforcement academy are eligible to apply. Children or stepchildren of a Grimes County Law Enforcement Officer or Grimes County First Responder are also eligible to apply.

The City of Navasota is seeking volunteers for the 21st Annual Keep Navasota Beautiful Trash Off April 15.
Navasota can remain beautiful with community members taking responsibility to improve the environment through litter prevention.
Registration ends March 17. Trash bags, latex gloves and t-shirts will be provided to participants.
