The big news this week is church camps planned at Evergreen Baptist Church have been canceled due to coronavirus. Hopefully all church camps next year will return to normal.

I was actually out of it for the first part of my stay. Everyone was good and I should be very thankful that they are so thorough even though I was discharged twice and each time the paperwork was canceled.
Read moreThe monthly meeting of the Keith Civic Club was held Thursday, June 25 at the Keith Community Center. It was the first meeting held since February due to coronavirus. The meeting was well attended, and the covered dish meal beforehand was enjoyed by all. During the meeting a lot of business was discussed and acted upon. A lot of work has been done on the building and grounds since February and everything looks good. Hopefully the membership of the club will improve, and everything will get back to normal.

Read moreIt’s getting harder and harder to be nice these days. People are just ready to be done with this Covid-19 situation. Our lives have changed so much in everyday living. Whoever thought you would have a doctor’s appointment via zoom? It saddens me to even think about school starting – will it be in a normal way or not? It is so healthy for people to interact with each other – especially children. They need that time to make lifelong friends, play and wrestle on the playground, have lunch and conversations together, classroom discipline, and most of all, a structured routine. Actually, we all need that! To heck with Facetime – I need the real person in front of me. And these masks – they are the end of me – I can’t breathe! I need to breathe fresh air – it’s hard to even smell the roses. What’s this world coming to?
