Our daughter and son-in-law, Ashleigh and Tanner Krause, have been married for 3-1/2 years. They announced to all our family at my birthday gathering in August they are expecting their first child. FINALLY!! So, Thursday we had the “gender reveal” at our house.

A party had been planned for the occasion but because of COVID-19, it was too dangerous for her to be around a lot of people. Therefore, a birthday parade was planned for Saturday, Oct. 3 instead. So, a collage of vehicles gathered at the old school gym parking lot.

Bean won Grand Champion for his pecan pie with chocolate drizzle and Bree won second for her pineapple cake and third on her cookies at last week’s Burleson County Fair. Maybe my “baker’s knee” can heal now. Their rabbits sold well too.
