She is one of 70 FFA members chosen to participate in the Foundation Ambassador program which serve as official liaisons to sponsors, special guests and dignitaries on behalf of the Texas FFA Convention. Byars-Cosby applied through a competitive application process and participated in an extensive training specifically focusing on donor relations, personal skill development and professional networking.

Grimes County Ministers Fellowship hosted their annual Back to School Prayer walk Aug. 15. Churches from around the county met at New Hope Baptist Church then went to area schools together to pray over the students, teachers, administration and other staff in the district. The City of Navasota’s long range Thoroughfare Plan and the more recent Pedestrian and Bicycle System Plan public meeting attracted significant attendance Tuesday, Aug. 10. Some residents shared suggestions and/or criticisms during public comments while others marked suggested routes and paths on the maps provided.

It was a night of celebration as the community had a chance to “Meet the Rattlers” at the annual event organized by the Navasota Athletic Booster Club. All NISD programs and many youth organizations were recognized.
