Ybarra recaps election changes at GCRW luncheon

The Grimes County Republican Women’s Feb. 15 meeting will feature Grimes County Elections Administrator Lucy Ybarra who will recap election changes coming out of the 87th Legislative Session.

Ybarra will review the Ballot by Mail cut-off and changes to the form resulting from Senate Bill 1, what is unlawful solicitation of a Ballot By Mail, the new Ballot By Mail tracker available through the Texas Secretary of State’s website and upcoming election dates.

Following Ybarra’s presentation, members and guests will have the opportunity to talk one-on-one with county and state level candidates on the GCRP primary ballot.

The February lunch meeting will be held at New Hope Church, 2159 SH 105 East just off SH 6 in Navasota. Come at 11 a.m. for some social time followed by lunch, speaker, and business meeting at 11:30. Adjournment is approximately 1 p.m.
