The 106-year-old structure received upgrades inside and out. On hand to offer their congratulations were County Judge Joe Fauth, District 3 State Representative Cecil Bell, Chamber of Commerce Director Johnny McNally, Plantersville Mayor Karen Hale, Alderman Marilyn Bettes and members of the Plantersville Town Hall board. The day-long festivities included an open house of the Town Hall, live music, silent and live auctions, and kids activities. The Town Hall is available for bookings as an event venue. Before retiring Oct. 29, Stafford shared memories as Navasota city manager for almost 16 years with The Examiner.
