Twelve-year-old Navasota resident Oscar Reyez has wanted to act most of his young life. While the Disney Channel’s “Austin & Ally” may have triggered the acting bug, it was the encouragement of a teacher and support of his parents that led to Reyez’ appearing in national commercials for Toyota and Walmart and roles in series like “How to Get Away with Murder” and “The Big Wish.” Oscar’s latest role is that of Watts in “Action Pack” airing on Netflix Jan. 4.

Grimes County District Attorney's Office adopted families to ensure they have a wonderful Christmas. Friends, family and community members help by donating food and gifts. Each child received gifts and each family received loaded baskets including a Christmas ham, bags of fruit, bread, snacks, paper goods and non-perishable foods to stock the pantry. The DA is thankful for the special donation of 13 bicycles and an organization that agreed to provide each family a hot Christmas dinner this year.
