After a public hearing with no comments against, the Navasota Planning Zoning Commission approved a preliminary plat for another single family residential development in the Dove Crossing subdivision at a Regular Meeting Thursday, Oct. 26. The plat was submitted by JCLB Investments for the 5.04-acre, 15 lot Dove Crossing PUD (Planned Unit Development) which is located along Dove Crossing Lane.

At the Oct. 23 Navasota City Council Meeting, Mayor Bert Miller issued a proclamation recognizing Nov. 6-10 as Municipal Court Week. The Proclamation pointed out that “more people come in contact with municipal courts than all other Texas courts combined and public impression of the Texas judicial system is largely dependent upon the public’s experience in municipal court.”

The Navasota High School Class of 1973 gathered Oct. 21, for their 50th reunion at the home of Don and Gail Sowell in Anderson. Twenty-four classmates and 12 other guests enjoyed a barbecue dinner catered by Wayne Fread, lots of reminiscing and good conversation. Some classmates hadn't seen each other since graduation.
