Read moreThere was another bout of bad weather that blew into the area May 16. Around 5–inches of rain fell, and trees came down. One of the trees was at my home my entire life. Two also fell at the home of Mac and Laura McBride and others throughout the area. Charlie Wendt had a tree fall on his truck. Roads were closed from FM 244 south of Carlos. And Highway 30 near Gibbons Creek. As far as I know there was no loss of life.
