Dagan Alford, son of Daryl and Mandi Alford, graduated from Anderson–Shiro in May. He has served as a volunteer fire fighter for Anderson VFD. This sparked his interest in becoming an EMT. On June 24, he started taking an EMT course at TEEX in College Station. The course is 8 weeks long. He will graduate Aug. 29. The course includes classroom hours as well as Emergency Room and ambulance hours.

Read moreEvergreen Baptist attended church camp in Glorieta, New Mexico. It was certainly well attended with around 46 children and adults. Despite troubles on the road, they finally arrived. Several children accepted Christ as their savior and others made important decisions that will affect their lives. They all spoke in the morning worship service June 23. Those that were saved will be baptized in the future. The church service was full. May God bless all of them.
