Vehicle inspection changes begin

AUSTIN — Beginning Jan. 1, 2025, House Bill 3297 eliminates vehicle safety inspections for most vehicles in Texas. HB 3297 was passed by the 88th Legislature and signed int law in 2023 by Texas Governor Greg Abbott. The law abolishes the Vehicle Safety Inspection Program for non–commercial vehicles.

Mark Anthony Martinez graduated from Texas A&M University Friday, Dec. 13, with a Bachelor of Science in Petroleum Engineering. He will begin his engineering career in the Dallas Fort Worth area in January. Mark is a 2020 Navasota High School graduate, and he is the son of Heladio Martinez and Dolores Cosino.

Holidays are a fun time for our family. I thank God I’m from a large family, but many are not as fortunate, or their families live far away and rarely get to see each other.
