Bible study and prayer meetings are being held on Thursday nights at The Place of Grace Church on CR 313. Prayer is from 6:15 – 6:30 p.m. with Bible study at 7:30 p.m. Everyone is invited.
Plantersville Stoneham VFD held their annual Christmas Party Saturday, Dec. 11. Thanks to the community for their support.
Grimes County Tire Clean Up will be at the Stoneham Waste Site started Dec. 11 until it is filled. The hours are Tuesday-Thursday 7 a.m. till noon and Saturday noon till 3 p.m. No rims, semi or tractors tires will be accepted. Tires will need to be stacked in the trailer.
Brookshire Brothers Pharmacy in Navasota is offering Pfizer Pediatric COVID Vaccines from 4-6 p.m. every Tuesday and Thursday. They have Pfizer, Moderna and Johnson & Johnson COVID Vaccines and Flu Shots available every day. Walk-ins are welcome. Another strand is on the rise so be careful.
Charm and Sewing 4-H club has several ongoing projects and need donations from people in the county. They need quilts, afghans and blankets. They are also making care packages for the homeless.
For the hygiene care packages for the homeless, some items needed are travel sized shampoo/ conditioner, lotion, toothpaste, tooth brushes, deodorant and quart size zipped baggies. Any questions contact Ann Mitchell at dcowgirl2008@aol.com. One hundred are needed each month.

Texas A&M Forest Service is accepting applications for the Vegetative Fuel Break Grant through Dec. 17. Applicants could be reimbursed up to $2,500 for the cost of trees, weed barriers, planting contractors, drip irrigation systems and other items associated with the creation of vegetative fuel breaks.
Eligible fuel break projects must have a minimum of three rows of trees and span at least 400 feet in length. Additionally, a bare-ground strip and a short grass strip are required, which will greatly increase the potential benefits of the fuel break. For more information, visit https:// bit.ly/3AI1Z1f.
