Bedias Christmas celebration Saturday
The Bedias Women’s Club will hold their Christmas meeting, tomorrow, Thursday, Dec. 16, at 2 p.m. at the Bedias Civic Center. All Bedias area women are invited to join in the potluck/gift exchange. Please contact any women’s club member with any questions.
The Bedias Civic Club is getting ready to celebrate Christmas in Bedias in a big way. Everything is set for this Saturday, Dec. 18, starting with Breakfast with Santa at the Civic Center, 8 a.m. to 10 a.m. Pancake Breakfast, then a Gingerbread House Contest also at the Civic Center at 10:30 a.m. Next is the Bedias Christmas Parade starting at 6 p.m., followed by Cookies with Santa back at the Civic Center at 7 p.m. Please go to the Civic Club Facebook page, www.facebook.com/ BediasCivicClubAssoc, for all the updates.
The Bedias Civic Club would like to encourage everyone to decorate their homes. We will be giving out a certificate for the best decorated house. If you are interested, please call us, 979-575-0267 so your house can be placed on the judging list. Judging will be December 17 and the winner will be announced December 18, after the pancake breakfast.
Mackie also shares the Bedias Museum & Library will resume regular hours on Jan. 4. The regular hours will be Tuesday and Thursday, 12 p.m. to 5 p.m. and Saturday, 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Our library still needs a few volunteers, please give Mackie a call, 946- 355-0642, or Karen Shiver, 832-971-7346, with any questions.
