Eighth Grade – at Mance Park Middle School (Huntsville)
8th Grade A Team
The 8th Grade A Team played a thrilling game winning in three sets, 2-1 (25-19, 17-25, 25-18). Kaelyn Walton fought hard and hustled for every ball the entire match. Madelyn Nobles had amazing passes throughout the game and her front row coverage was key to the Fangs win. Carmen Herrera sealed the win for the Lady Fangs in the third set with her serves.
8th Grade B Team
Navasota’s 8th Grade B Team Lady Fangs fell to the Hornets 2-1 (16-25, 25-17, 12-15). Jocelyn Castillo stepped up on front row with outstanding net coverage and Ally Vela’s serves throughout the second and third sets kept the Lady Fangs in the game.
Seventh Grade – at Brenham Junior High
7th Grade A Team
It was a tough battle, but the 7th Grade a Team Lady Fangs were bested by Brenham 2-0 (11-25, 21-25). Madison Junek played hard throughout the entire game and was the top server for the lady Fangs. Sadie Phillips played aggressively throughout the game as well, not giving up despite the score.
7th Grade B Team
Navasota’s 7th grade B team Lady Fangs also put up a fight against Brenham, but fell 2-0 (16-25, 23-25). Allysa Llanas was the top server for her team playing hard throughout the entire game.
Navasota’s eight grade teams begin round-two of the playoffs Thursday, Nov. 4, at College Station Middle School, with games beginning at 5 p.m. The seventh grade girls play the same time and date at A7M Consolidated Middle School.
