Navasota Junior High Fang Football
Eighth Grade A Team The Fang eighth grade A team shut out Bellville 23-0.
Derrick Booker scored on a 42-yard run. Jayden Spriggs had scoring runs of eight and 67 yards. Khriztian Perez had two extra-point kicks.
“We had a great team performance by our offense with great blocks across the board,” said Fang Coach Brandon Ganske. “Our defense came together to shut down the Bellville run game and had another shutout.”
Leading the way for the Fang defense were Latravious Blackshear, Zachary Pratho, Angel Delarosa, Quincy McLean and Robert Sanchez who recovered a fumble from a missed toss by the running back.
Eighth Grade B Team Navasota’s eighth grade B team fell to Bellville 206.
Michael Henson had the Fangs only score, a 55-yard run led by great outside blocking by the receivers.
Defensive leaders were Freddy Cruz, Jaylynn Mock and Devyn Colunga.
Seventh Grade A Team Bellville scored 14 fourth-quarter points to push past the Fang seventh grade A team, 27-13.
Trystan Cross scored both of Navasota’s touchdowns on runs of 55, and 38 yards. Collin Dacus ran in the first conversion. The second failed.
Defensive standouts were Dacus, Jah’Corian Fagan, and Brasen Ramos.
Seventh Grade B Team A late score by Bellville lifted the Brahmas over the seventh grade B team Fangs, 12-7.
Jayvan Williams scored on a 44-yard run and Quinnton Jessie ran in the conversion. Defensive standouts include John Arbuckle, Julian Hernnadez and Nehemiah Ofori.
