Rattler netters battle Wharton

WHARTON - Navasota Tennis faced a tough Wharton team, who qualified for the Regional Finals last season.

In the matches Sept. 7, Nolan Ruiz, playing in position four, won his singles match. He also won his doubles match in the number two position with partner Gabriel Casteanda.

Other wins for the Rattlers include girl’s doubles position three, Bailey Sellers and Madison Junek, and girl’s singles, Grace Mendez, in the number six position. Navasota hosted round two of district play Monday against Sealy (results were not available at press time.
