Johnson City ended the season for the young Iola Bulldog baseball team with a 2-0 series win (10-0, 2-0) in the 2A Region IV Area Playoffs.

The young Bulldogs started four freshmen, a junior, and a sophomore alongside a trio of seniors and exceeded expectations on the season.

The pitcher was also 1-2 at the plate with a single in the bottom of the fourth. Cooper Cadro collected the Bulldogs only other hit.

Iola had another great mound performance in game two, this time by freshman Brody Vaughn who allowed one earned run in the 2-0 loss. He struck out one and walked one. Freshman Weston Rubion had the Bulldogs lone hit of the contest.
