Owls perched atop district 23-3A

Three Lady Owls scored double-digits in Anderson-Shiro’s 58-55 win over Tarkington.

With the win, Anderson-Shiro (13-9, 9-0) holds the top spot in District 23-3A. Zoe Hayes, Shelbi Belinowski and Khloe Rogers each scored double digits. Hayes notched 15 followed by Belinowski with 14 and Rogers with 11. Hayes also had seven assists and seven steals. Belinowski had four steals and three rebounds. Camary Jackson scored 9 and Lacey Hurst scored seven.

The Lady Owls defeated Onalaska earlier in the week, 46-24. Rogers led all scorers with 21 points. She also grabbed nine rebounds. Belinowski scored 10, grabbed three rebounds and three steals.

Anderson-Shiro hosted Crockett Jan. 24 (results were not available at press time). The Owls travel to New Waverly Jan. 27 and host Trinity Jan. 31.
