Soccer teams begin district undefeated

Navasota Soccer is on goal with where they want to be to begin District 20-4A competition, winning their first two games.

After two years of being defeated by Royal, The Rattlers opened with a 4-2 win over the Falcons. Navasota followed the win with a huge 6-1 victory over Harmony. 

The Rattlers played at Hempstead Feb. 14 (results were not available at press time). The Rattlers host Sealy Feb. 17, an at Bellville Feb. 21. Games begin at 7:15 p.m.

Varsity Girls

Navasota’s Lady Rattlers had a slow start to district play but pulled out a 2-1 win over the Royal Lady Falcons. 

Trailing 0-1 after 30 minutes of play, Navasota answered with two second-half goals. Mayra Castillo netted both goals with one assisted by Yesenia Gomez. Jami Palafox had four saves.
