Navasota JV defeat La Grange

It was a thrilling victory for the Navasota junior varsity team knocking off the La Grange Leopards, 31–21, Sept. 26. 

Spencer Ellis made a huge play on defense hauling in an interception and returning it for a 78–yard touchdown. Kentrevion Taylor applied pressure on the Leopards quarterback all night limiting their offense. 

Kris Knighton and Kyn'navion Chappel had good nights offensively. Knighton made several great runs, while Chappel helped move the ball down the field with strong plays.  

Hugo Garcia also scored points with a 27–yard field goal, helping the Rattlers keep their lead. 

Navasota enters a bye week and return to action at Needville Oct. 10.
