Lady Rattler JV wins championship

It was a busy but dominant week for the Navasota Lady Rattler junior varsity team as they swept the court at the Anderson-Shiro JV Tournament Dec. 8-10.
Navasota went 6-0 in the tournament. The Lady Rattler JV opened with wins over Schulenburg, 42-17, and St. Joseph, 58-6. In day two of the tournament, the Lady Rattler JV knocked off Sealy, 48-24, and the Anderson-Shiro Lady Owls, 44-31. The tournament concluded Saturday with wins over Bellville, 46-7, and Franklin, 51-24.
Lady Rattler JV is now 13-2 on the season.
Varsity at Hearne
Navasota (17-1) dropped their first game of the season as the Hearne Lady Eagles surprised them with a 51-43 win.
Nala Richardson led the Lady Rattlers with 15 points and three steals followed by Bryanna Stokes with 13 points. Jalyn Williams grabbed seven rebounds and had three steals.
All three Lady Rattler teams began District 25-4A play Tuesday, Dec. 13, hosting Needville (results were not available at press time). The varsity Lady Rattlers host Burton Friday, Dec. 16, at 4:30 p.m. and all three teams travel to Royal Tuesday, Dec. 20, with games slated for 5, 6:15 and 7:30 p.m.
