Leon- The Cougars couldn’t outlast Mildred in a 47-43 shootout. Mildred rushed for 411 yards on 37 carries and Leon was held to 94 yards rushing. Leon outproduced the Eagles through the air with 363 yards passing on 18 completions compared to 103.

Anderson-Shiro- The Owls dominated Rosebud-Lott in a lopsided shutout 32-0. Junior quarterback Cole Werner connected on 6-15 passing for 125 yards and two touchdowns. He also rushed for 57 yards. Shadeed Jones carried the ball 10 times for 101 yards and two touchdowns. Senior Kreese Milligan propelled the Owl defense with 7 tackles, 1 sack, 1 TFL an interception and forced fumble.

Key Matchup: Leon proved that they can move the ball through the air. Anderson will need to have a good game in the defensive secondary to limit the Leon receivers. They also need to pressure the Cougars quarterback and not allow him time to pick the defense apart.
