Vehicle fire erupts downtown

Downtown Navasota was lit by a vehicle fire Sunday evening, Nov. 27. 

Navasota Fire Chief Jason Katkoski stated firefighters arrived at approximately 5:54 p.m. to find a four-door Buick sedan with a large fire under the hood and into the passenger side of the vehicle. The fire was extinguished within 10 minutes.

Katkoski stated all occupants exited the vehicle safely and no injuries were sustained. He said the cause of the fire has not been determined.
