Ramos indicted in Brazos County
BRYAN - Kevin Alejandro Ramos, 19, of Navasota was indicted Thursday, Aug. 8, by a Brazos County grand jury from an incident on Jan.
20.
Ramos was indicted on charges of first-degree felony aggravated robbery and second-degree felony aggravated assault with a deadly weapon. He was released from t h e Brazos County Jail Jan. 20 on a $20,000 bond.
Ramos is accused of attacking a man at approximately 3:30 a.m. who was waiting to use the ATM outside of Rebel’s Draft House near Church Street and College Main in College Station. According to College Station Police, Ramos stabbed the victim in the head and the victim also suffered multiple knife inflicted injuries on his arms and shoulders. A report states the stabbing victim was taken to St. Joseph’s Hospital in Bryan where he received four staples to close the head wound he suffered.
After the man fled, Ramos reportedly turned to another man that was using the ATM at the time and took $45 from him.
Police reviewed surveillance video which confirmed the reports of the victims. During the review process police located Ramos’ vehicle and later learned his identity. He was arrested and booked into the Brazos County Jail.
A trial date has not been released.
Grand jurors meet twice a month to determine if there is substantial evidence to move forward with prosecuting a case. An indictment by a grand jury is not an indication of guilt.
