Navasota man faces child pornography charges

Christopher David Diaz, 23, a Navasota man, was arrested and charged with five counts of Possession of Child Pornography.

Navasota Police Officers assisted State investigators with the execution of a search warrant at the Navasota home where Diaz resides. The warrant stems from a report through the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children’s (NCMEC) Cyber Tip line, involving the upload of child pornography to an online account.

According to CEU investigators, Diaz admitted during an interview to downloading and viewing files of child pornography. During a preview of Diaz’s cellular phone and components, investigators found images of child pornography. Investigators also seized numerous digital storage devices to undergo examination by the Digital Forensics Unit.

Diaz was transported by Navasota PD to the Grimes County Jail without incident and charged with five counts of Possession of Child Pornography, each a third-degree felony. His bond was set at $40,000.
