With the goal of attracting more visitors to Navasota, city council expanded vendor market options at the May 28 Regular Meeting. After a public hearing with no comments against, council approved Ordinance No. 1048-24 and the application from Neil Martensen and Neilious, LLC, for a specific use permit for the operation of a vendor market at 202 Holland Street.

It is a family foundation that supports rural public libraries in Texas cities serving a population of 12,000 or less. Librarian Lindsey Cox said the number of Library patrons is approximately 8,417. Including the current grant, this brings the total amount of Tocker Foundation grant monies to $98,845. Past grants were used for microfilm digitization of the Navasota Examiner and to replace the carpet in the Library children’s area.
