Ellwood Texas Forge in Navasota celebrated their 50th anniversary in style Saturday, Oct. 1. Earlier in the week Navasota Mayor Bert Miller issued a proclamation honoring the historic anniversary. Saturday’s celebration included tours of the plant, snow cones, photo booth, food and more. Employee families and community leaders joined in the celebration.

The City of Navasota achieved its goal of saving the youth soccer program. Grimes County Youth Soccer Association announced the 2022 soccer season was being canceled, but The City stepped in, and with the help from staff and volunteers, the season kicked-off Saturday, Sept. 24.
