ANDERSON - Aldermen for the Town of Anderson approved a resolution to be excluded from the proposed Emergency Services District No. 2, which is proposed to cover unincorporated portions of Grimes County excluding ESD 1 (in the Iola school district) and the city of Navasota.
Read moreMembers of Navasota’s First Presbyterian Church presented Christian Community Services Center (CCSC) Director Pat Gaston with donations totaling nearly $3,500 Monday, Dec. 12. Also, on hand for receipt of the donations were members of the CCSC board of directors and food pantry volunteers. Of the amount received, $1,000 came from proceeds of the inaugural First Presbyterian Church’s Pumpkin Patch sales. Nearly $2,500 came from donations and offerings from church members during 2022.

There were 391 teams that competed in the PR contest, consisting of 1,564 FFA members. In the semifinals, ASFFA competed against the top 24 teams in the state and was among the 10 advancing to the finals. The team gave a valiant effort finishing fourth in the state. The ASFFA team posing with State FFA Officers on either side of them are: Will Abraham, Brooklyn Byars-Cosby, Hannah Abraham, Morgan Moriarty, and Rome Rivera.
