Macedonia Baptist Church invites Grimes County to a three-day revival featuring a minister raised and trained locally at Macedonia. The revival is Sept. 13-15 featuring Pastor Earnest Powell of Zion Fair Missionary Baptist Church in La Vernia. Services begin at 7 p.m.

The center, coordinated and operated by Evelyn Szymczak, is open from 9 a.m. until 1 p.m. three days a week – Monday, Wednesday and Friday. Senior citizens can visit and have lunch for a $3 donation and participate in activities such as bingo, dominos, quilting, nutritional education and sometimes exercise.
