Welcome to Navasota, Kathleen!

A few years ago, Brenna Payne moved to town and married a Navasotian, Josh Wisnoski. She is a workout trainer and I attended a few of her workout sessions and really enjoyed myself. More than that — I really liked her sweet and welcoming personality. Throughout the years, I saw her parents in pictures and at times in person on their visits to town, but never got to actually meet them.

Gun raffle tickets available at White Hall store

Going out Saturday sure was fun. It doesn’t take much to make me happy. I got to visit with relatives at the wedding of Jennifer Schroeder and Casey Connor. They were married at Zion Lutheran Church in Anderson. I had never met him, but it didn’t take much to figure out his personality. He fits in with his fun craziness and seems to really care about our Jennifer, which is what matters.

Richards Food Pantry open March 7

Richards Food Pantry will be open Thursday, March 7 from 6 to 8 p.m. at the Richards Civic Center. The Pantry is open the first Thursday of each month and is a service of Richards Civic Club.

Spring Forward this weekend

Anderson Knights of Columbus no. 4054 will hold two more fish fry’s: March 8 at St. Joseph’s Catholic Church in Stoneham and March 22 at the KC Hall in Anderson. Serving begins at 5 p.m. Plates are $15 each and includes fish, French fries, coleslaw, mac and cheese, hush puppies, dessert and tea. Dine in or take out is available.
