Raise your hand if you are excited about “springing forward” for Daylight Saving Time. Almost no one – that’s about what I thought. I personally do not care for it because it messes up my internal body clock. I mean, if you want more sunshine in your day, just get up earlier. Friends, I don’t mean to sound cynical here – it’s just my humble opinion.

House Bill 2 would raise the per-student allotment by $220, to $6,360 a year. It would also invest $750 million in teacher pay and $450 million in teacher training.

He’s lovingly tolerated my correction of some of his word choices for the last 12 years! While one word can totally change the meaning of a sentence, the delivery is equally important. Read moreA slim majority of Texas House members have indicated they will back House Bill 3, which creates education savings accounts that allow families to use taxpayer money for private school education. The Dallas Morning News reported 75 Republican legislators have signed on with the bill’s author, state Rep. It’s located a short way south of Navasota east of Highway 6, but Fahey didn’t build it. The two–room log cabin was built by the Muldrow family in 1836 and became the Fahey home in 1882. Today, other than Boy Scouts and families who camp at the Bovay Scout Ranch, the public to date is unaware of it.
