Navasota High school’s Bionic Vipers robotics team worked past a slow start at the Manor Senior High School robotics competition. The Bionic Vipers worked out bugs and teamed up with two other squads to advance to the finals and earn first place. Navasota advanced to compete in Houston earning second place and qualifying for the state tournament. The Bionic Vipers are ranked No. 20

All–star cast members include Lizeth Corona and Angelique Lemus. Freya Adney earned honorable mention. Best technician is Anson Seale. The bi–district competition is March 29, at Royal High School.

The Navasota Junior High Tenor/Bass Choir earned the Sweepstakes award at the Region 27 UIL Concert and Sightreading Competition, March 3. To earn the Sweepstakes, the choir scored the highest rating in the concert portion that consists of three songs and in the sightreading competition.
