NISD seeks committee volunteers

Navasota Independent School District is seeking volunteers to serve on the district site base. The district-level site base holds two public meetings a year to discuss the district’s performance from Texas Education Agency.

Nominations for the site base committee began Nov. 2 and continues through Nov. 18. The superintendent shall regularly consult the district-level committee in the planning, operation, supervision, and evaluation of the district education program. The district-level committee assists the superintendent with the annual development, evaluation, and revision of the district improvement plan. The committee also analyzes information related to dropout prevention. A district may use district-wide staff development developed and approved through the district-level decision process, (BQA-Legal).

Meetings scheduled

• Monday, Dec. 19, at 5 p.m. The meeting will be held in the NISD Central Office Human Resources Conference Room. 

• Monday, March 23, 2023, 5 p.m. via ZOOM.
