Bulldogs seal homecoming win
Iola picked up a huge 38-8 win in a battle of the Bulldogs over the Bartlett for Homecoming 2022. This is the first district win for Iola.
IOLA - Iola faced off against the Bartlett Bulldogs for Homecoming 2022. Despite the previous week’s loss to Milano, Iola pushed through Bartlett’s offense and gained a 38-8 win.
The Bulldogs were able to display the success of their new offensive strategies they have been practicing under new coach, Bo Barrow. Brian Crosby gained 158 yards on 21 carries and four touchdowns. Kyler Dreher had two catches for 38 yards.
Iola scored four times in the opening half. Crosby had scoring runs of 27, 23 and 7 yards. Cale Creamer had a 23-yard touchdown run in the first quarter. Bartlett scored on a 50-yard run in the third quarter for their lone score. Crosby finalized the scoring on a 6-yard run in the fourth.
Iola (2-6, 1-2), sets their eyes on the Chilton Pirates (8-0, 3-0) at Bulldog Stadium Friday, Oct. 28, with a 7 p.m. kickoff.
