Lady Panthers 2-0 in district
Richards continues their storied season, notching 20-wins and remaining undefeated in District 27-1A.
The Lady Panthers (20-8, 2-0) stayed in district-form with a non-district matchup hosting Aggieland Homeschool Monday, Sept. 26. Richards won 3-1 (18-25, 19-25, 23-25, 23-25). Alayna Francis had 17 kills, Kylie Bates contributed with 21 assists and Cadence Nance had eight aces in the win.
The Lady Panthers traveled to Trojan Country to play Calvert in their second district matchup Friday, Sept 30. Richards defeated the Lady Trojans in three games (25-13, 25-8, 25-17). Francis had 10 kills. Kira Coleman and Nance had great serves to help the Lady Panthers prevail.
“The team continues to work hard day in and day out,” said Richards Coach Janice Hudson. “I’m proud of the way we have begun district play.”
Richards hosted Buckholts Tuesday, Oct. 4 (results were not available at press time). They travel to Dime Box Friday, Oct. 7, with first serve set for 5 p.m.
