Evergreen Baptist VBS July 17-20
The first group of children from Evergreen Baptist Church have returned from Pineywoods Camp where they had a wonderful time. The teenagers left Tuesday, June 5, for the same camp. Do remember all of the campers in your prayers.
Evergreen Baptist Church will have their Vacation Bible School beginning Sunday, July 17, through Wednesday, July 20, from 6:30 – 8:45 p.m. Hope all children will be able to attend. Registration is available at evergreenbaptist.net under the VBS tab.
Friends of Steve and Jean Biggs who would like to write them may doso at their new address, 106 McKinley St. Kouts, IN, 46347. They recently moved out of the area. They would love to hear from their old friends. They lived here for 20 years and are certainly missed. They found a good church and have a good home as well.
Cross Baptist Church just finished their Vacation Bible School. The first night they had a kangaroo present. I bet that is a first for any VBS. Approximately 70 children attended VBS.
The monthly meeting of Orphans Friend Masonic Lodge No 17 was held at their lodge hall in Anderson Monday, July 4, with a fair number in attendance. Since it was Independence Day, a meal was not served. During the meeting the name of J. Lynn Tyler was mentioned. He passed away June 19. The lodge had a masonic funeral for him in conjunction with his funeral service at First Baptist Church in Navasota. Several other names of those in need of prayer were mentioned.
The monthly meeting of Bedias Masonic Lodge No 651 was held Tuesday, July 5, at their lodge hall with a full house of members and visitors in attendance. The covered dish meal was enjoyed by all. During the lodge meeting there was a variety of business taken care of and acted upon.
