HealthPoint opens new location

HealthPoint, a Federally Qualified Health Center in Navasota officially opened its new location July 11, at 8310 Texas State Highway 6 in Navasota.

Clinic operations had a planned closure Friday, July 8, to facilitate the movement of equipment between facilities. The new building is more than 2,000 square feet larger than the previous Navasota clinic. The state-of-the-art facility has allowed HealthPoint to add two additional providers ready to serve patients.

Dr. Roland Garza will continue providing prenatal and women’s health services weekly. HealthPoint will also add dental services in the coming months. This clinic represents a sizeable investment in the Navasota and Grimes County communities HealthPoint serves.

HealthPoint’s goal is to be the best place for patients to receive care, the best place for providers to practice medicine, and the best place for employees to work.

HealthPoint has provided a network of community health centers serving the Greater Brazos Valley since 1972. An official grand opening will be held Thursday, Aug. 11.
