Luna hired to lead lola Elementary
IOLA – Iola Independent School District announced the hiring of Dianne Luna as the new principal at the elementary campus.
Luna obtained her Bachelor of Art at Texas A&M University in English and a Master of Educational Philosophy with a focus in Special Education and Behavior Analysis. She has served students in public education for 20 years as a teacher and administrator. Most recently, she was as assistant principal at Caldwell ISD Intermediate School. Prior to that she served one-year as Director of Special Education for Bosque County Educational Cooperative before returning back to the Brazos Valley to be closer to family.
Personally, Luna and her husband, Louie Luna, reside at Hilltop Lakes. They have a blended family of six adult children and four grandchildren. Their youngest son, Logan, recently graduated high school and will attend college and play baseball this fall in Arkansas.
Iola ISD Superintendent Jeff Dyer said Luna has a passion for student success and safety in all settings and she looks forward to joining an already successful team of teachers and staff at Iola ISD.
