Owls battle Leopards in playoffs

ANDERSON – The Anderson-Shiro Fighting Owl baseball team will face-off against the Van Vleck Leopards in the 3A Bi-District Playoffs Friday and Saturday, May 6 and 7 at Morton Ranch High School, 21,000 Franz Road in Katy.

First pitch Friday is scheduled for 7 p.m. Saturday’s game gets underway at 1 p.m. with game three 30-minutes after if needed.

The Owls finished first in District 23-3A with an 11-1 record. Van Vleck finished fourth in District 24-3A with a 4-7 record. Last season the Owls had an impressive playoff run advancing three rounds deep. The Leopards fell in the bi-district round of the playoffs in 2021.

The winner advances to the area round to meet either Buna or Huntington.
