JAMES LEO WILEY

James Leo Wiley, 61, of Montgomery, passed away Sunday, April 24, at St. Luke’s The Woodlands. Visitation with family and friends will be held from 5:00 to 7:00 p.m., Thursday, April 28, at Nobles Funeral Chapel. A celebration of his life will be 10:00 a.m., Friday, April 29, at First Baptist Church of Navasota with interment following in Oakland Cemetery. Rev. Clyde Larrabee will officiate. Arrangements are under the direction of Nobles Funeral Chapel.

James was born in Houston, Texas on September 19, 1960 to Leo Emmons and Addie (Hatchet) Wiley. He attended Lutheran Bethal private school in Houston until high school. James was a Christian and loved the Lord! He then attended and graduated from Woodville High School in May, 1979.

James married Terri Sue McIntire in Navasota on January 15, 1994. Early in his career he did sheet metal work for a few years then transitioned to a Heavy Equipment Operator at NOV Grant from 1993 to 2019. He enjoyed hunting fishing and the outdoors. James was a hardworking man that loved to stay busy. James and his family lived in Navasota from 1993 to 2008 and then built their dream home in the country on 10 acres in Dobbin.

James is survived by his wife, Terri Wiley; sons, Anthony and Timothy Wiley; brothers and sisters-in-law, Danny and Jada Wiley, William and Diane Emmons, James Emmons and Curtis Emmons.

Serving as pallbearers are Anthony Wiley, Timothy Wiley, Danny Wiley, William Emmons, Eugene Rusk and Chase LeBlanc.

He was preceded in death by his parents and his adopted father Douglas Wiley that raised him.
