MICHELE R. BROWN

Michele Renee Reaves Brown, 54, of Tomball, died Wednesday afternoon, February 9, 2022, at CHI St. Luke’s Health - The Vintage Hospital in Houston.

A Memorial Mass will be celebrated 2:00 p.m. Tuesday, February 22, 2022, at St. Stanislaus Catholic Church, 1511 Hwy 90, in Anderson, with Rev. Elias Lopez as the celebrant. The rite of committal will follow in St. Stanislaus Church Cemetery.

Michele was born in Houston and immediately adopted by Marcus Ray and Marcella Barbara (Szymczak) Reaves. She grew up in Spring and Houston and graduated from Westfield High School. On August 6, 1994 she married Patrick Davis Brown at St. Edward’s Catholic Church in Spring.

Michele graduated with a bachelor’s degree in Psychology from Sam Houston State University in 1992. She returned to the academic world and received her Master of Science degree in Business and Human Relations from Amberton University in 2008.

Michele loved to work with children and young adults and went to Guatemala in 1997 with the missionary group Sending Out Servants from Prince of Peace in Houston. She counseled girls at the Hope Center for Youth Wilderness Camp in Groveton, TX from 1999 to 2002. She then received her teaching certificate and taught special education in the Alief ISD for a short time.

She was preceded in death by her mother. Survivors include her husband of 27 years, Patrick D. Brown of Tomball and their daughter Ella, both of Tomball; her father Marcus Ray Reaves of Anderson and a brother Michael Reaves and wife Jeny of Houston.
