Powerlifters have strong performance

WEIMER - It was a strong finish for the Navasota girls’ powerlifters, who finished in thirdplace at the Weimer meet Wednesday, Feb. 9.

Emma Stankiewicz and Jocelyn Sanchez each placed first in their division. Stankiewicz had a total of 635 pounds. The total for Sanchez was not reported. Jade Dominguez lifted 695 total pounds for second place. Kasey Pichotta placed second as well, but her total was not reported. Angelina Burnet placed fifth with 510 total pounds.

Navasota Powerlifting at Weimer High School Yesterday. Girls team finished 3rd.

Four boy’s freshman lifters competed in their first meet: Alexis Sosa, Alan Diaz, Anthony Flores, Kaden Leonard, Dario Luna, Alexander Lopez, Adrial Quirino and Ha’Dadrien Struggs. Results were not released.
