Iola ISD closes school

IOLA - Iola Independent School District will be closed Wednesday, Jan. 19 through Friday, Jan. 21, due to COVID-19. Regular school hours will resume Monday, Jan. 24.

The district said there are approximately 145 students out of about 550 district-wide that have tested positive for COVID-19 or been in close contact of someone who has. There are also 17 staff members out.

All athletic events will be canceled or rescheduled. No remote learning will be required during the closure. The district encourages everyone to continue using the “After Hours Presumptive/Positive COVID-19 Reporting Form” located on the district site.
