Easter Egg Hunt April 11
The Whitehall VFD had a great day at the first Saturday Barbeque sale. We sold all 200 buns we had plus many pounds sold which left us with nothing remaining around 1:30 p.m. Thanks to all the regular customers and all the new ones that dropped by to visit. My funny was when these two ladies came in with three boys. I could tell that one was older and that the other two were twins, so I asked if they were twins and they were shaking their heads. When I asked their names, those little four-year-old twins swapped names and then just giggled. They were so happy when Carol gave them each a fire helmet to take home.
Our Whitehall traveler, Mike Kurten, made it home Friday night from his trip to Poland and he made it to help with the BBQ sales. I haven’t had the chance to visit with him, so I have no details for you.
Salem Lutheran Church will be hosting an Easter Egg Hunt at the church on Saturday, April 11. In addition to the egg hunt, there will be other activities, crafts and refreshments. Bring your grandchildren, children and don’t forget the baskets! The time is 1 p.m. till 3 p.m. Everyone is invited to attend.
Please keep our neighbor, Kathy Wells, in your prayers because she is having her surgery the first part of April.
Spring Break is just not the same unless I spend some time with my grandchildren. The younger four and I took a road trip to try out Kenney Store. We enjoyed our little road trip that also included a lot of prerecorded music on volume #18. If you don’t know what that is, it is LOUD! Loud even for someone with a hearing problem.
I thought that basketball season was over. Nope, both the Somerville kiddos are playing the end of this week. Next comes Little League for Bean and Jordan since he is coaching again. Bree plays school softball too. Run, run, run for me; no not the bases, the roads.
We continue to keep our sick and homebound friends on our prayer list. These friends include Sue Kolojaco, Dorothy Mahaffey, Mary Bauer, Rosa Finke, Lois Bell, Leon Gorney, Doug Taylor, Garry Wise, Kathy Cave Wells, Glenn Binder, Pauline Kaspar, Violet Serres, Pastor David Schulze, Jean Fleischhauer, Michelle Guajardo, sister of Billy Robbins, and Alexander Hanna, grandson of Curtis and Darla Kolojaco. Please add these friends to your prayer list.
