PORSCHA LASHE’ CRAWFORD

Funeral services for Porscha Lashe’ Crawford, 31, of Navasota, were held 12:00 p.m. Saturday, Nov. 16, 2019, at the Brosig Auditorium located at 100 Brosig Avenue in Navasota. Burial followed in the Coaxberry Cemetery. Visitation was from 10:00 a.m. until 11:45 a.m.

Ms. Crawford passed Nov. 3, 2019, in Navasota. Porscha was born April 10, 1988, in Houston, the first daughter born to Lydell and Rolanda Crawford.

Porscha accepted Christ and was baptized at an early age at Starlight Missionary Baptist Church under the leadership of Pastor L. Solomon. Porscha was a military child who was able to travel the country while receiving her education.

Porscha attended Fonwood Elementary in Houston. She then attended and graduated from Pearl Harbor Kai Elementary in Honolulu, Hawaii, where she participated in track and field. She was promoted to Aliamanu Middle School where she participated in basketball, softball, track and field and as a crossing guard. Porscha attended Navasota Middle School in Navasota for a short period. She and her family then relocated to Ft. Benning, Georgia, where Porscha attended and graduated from Faith Middle School, she participated in basketball.

Porscha was then promoted to Spencer High School in Ft. Benning, Georgia, where she pursued her dream to be a cheerleader. Due to her father’s military obligation, Porscha moved back home and attended Navasota High School for a short period of time. Porscha and the family then moved to FT Hood, Texas where she attended and graduated from Shoemaker High School in Killeen. She was the cheerleader captain and created the high school chants that they still use to this day, “Shoemaker, maka, maka, maka, what.” She was always the life of every event that she was a part of. Long live her smile in everyone’s heart forever.

On Aug. 6, 2014, Porscha gave birth to a beautiful baby girl named Na Kayla Deltrice Crawford, who was her heartbeat, a special bond that no one will ever defeat.
