St. Mary’s gigantic rummage sale

St. Mary’s Catholic Church in Plantersville will hold its gigantic annual rummage sale from 7 a.m. until 3 p.m. Saturday, Nov. 2, on the church grounds. This heavily attended and much waited for rummage sale is well-known as the largest sale in Grimes County.

The early bird sale runs between 7 a.m. and 9 a.m. Admission is $5 cash to shop early. After 9 a.m. admission is free.

There will be bargains galore. Over 1100 families have donated items throughout the year. They have good clean clothing, linens, crafts, appliances, kitchenware, knick-knacks, holiday decor, furniture of all kinds, electronics, toys, sporting goods, books, wall hangings, collectibles and much, much more.

Cash, local checks and credit cards will be accepted. A food and drink concession will also be available.

Proceeds from the sale will go toward funding the needs of the fast-growing parish as well as maintenance and beautification of the church grounds.
