PAULA DENISE (HOPKINS) MALLETT

Paula Denise (Hopkins) Mallett, 58 years, 1 month, 23 days; of Iola, passed away Friday, September 27, 2019 in Bryan, TX. Memorial services are scheduled for 4:00 p.m. Saturday, October 5, at Bedias Baptist Church in Bedias, TX. Bro. Nathan Hoke and Bro. Jerry Allen Cole will officiate.

Paula was born on August 4, 1961 in Athens, TX to S. E. and Yvonne (Penney) Hopkins. She graduated from Cayuga High School and Sam Houston State University with a bachelor’s and master’s degree in Education. She was a life-long educator.

She was preceded in death by her Father. She is survived by her mother of Cayuga; husband, Danny Mallett of North Zulch; her son Will Mallett of College Station; her daughter Hailey Mallett of College Station; sisters Lisa King and husband Bill of Cayuga; and Lana Herriman and her husband Kevin of Arp; her nephews Chad Mallett and his wife Kelly, Greg Mallett and his wife Casey, and Brian Herriman; her great nephew Garrett Mallett; and great niece, Cassie Mallett.

A private burial was held Sunday, September 29, 2019 at Cross Cemetery in Iola, TX.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations can be given to Bedias Baptist Youth Ministry.
