Lillian was born Feburary 17, 1929 in Grimes County to Fritz and Annie (Horn) Wehmeier. After high school, she attended business college and worked as a bookkeeper throughout her life. On November 19, 1955, she married Jessie Floyd Shimshack and together they raised seven children.

Lillian was a member of Salem Lutheran Church in White Hall, the Salem Lutheran Church Ladies Circle and VFW Post #4006 Ladies Auxiliary. She lived life to the fullest and taught each and everyone the value of family. She was a true matriarch, instilling in each member of her huge, often-times loud close-knit family, the value of selflessness, honesty and hard work. God truly blessed all of us with her many years among us here on Earth. We know that Memaw and Papaw are sitting on a swing together, enjoying that heavenly afternoon breeze. You will be forever missed!

She is survived by daughters and sons-in-law Linda and Leroy Nobles, Gloria and Ricky Clepper, Alice and Donnie Mock and Reba and Dean Zwahr; sons and daughters-in-law Jimmy and Cynthia Shimshack, Richard Shimshack and Mark and Meribeth Shim-shack; 17 grandchildren and 23 great-grandchildren.

Serving as pallbearers are Justin Mock, Clayton Clary, Cody Clary, Kenton Shimshack, Shane McKown and Joey Eppler. Honorary pallbearers are her beloved grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
