Richards received a facelift this past week as ditches and edges of the roadways were mowed along FM 149. It sure looks nice and made our roads a lot safer too. It’s much easier to see down the road when you pull off a dirt road and easier to see traffic coming as well as wild hogs, deer and other animals that may dart out in your path. Thanks to whoever made this possible. It sure looks nice.

Union Grove Baptist Church in Richards along with many others from many other neighboring churches came out in support of Union Grove Baptist children and youth. It was the place to be Friday night as folks from all over gathered to sing and entertain. It was a full house and a very enjoyable evening. Youth and children from Union Grove were raising money for camp. The youth and children waited tables as they served popcorn, snacks of all kinds, cakes, cupcakes and drinks all night long. There were many beautiful singers and bands from Richards and other towns. Pastor Jay Kott along with Teresa were there with the Shiro Baptist Church praise and worship band. There were both youth and a little more elderly singing. Families as well as individuals both sang. The music was good, and Lynda Tallafferro kept the crowd smiling, laughing and entertained very well in between musicians. It was a very fun evening, and everyone had a very good time.
